LCCs driving Mexican airport growth

Premium Analysis

LCCs are certainly leading the way in Mexico. All Mexican airport

operators have been supported by rapidly increasing domestic traffic throughout

the country, which is largely attributable to the growth of the LCC sector.

Such is the impact of the Mexican LCC explosion, that several of the airport

operators are forecasting domestic passenger traffic in 2007 to expand well

above the historical average, driven by the greater number of LCC routes and

frequencies.
