Lagardere upgrades 2010 operating profit forecast

Analysis

French media group Lagardere, whose businesses include airport retail, book and magazine publishing and sports-rights management, has raised its 2010 operating profit expectation, citing a better-than-expected recovery in advertising markets.

Lagardere owns a 7.5% share of European aerospace company EADS, but is not expecting a sale of the EADS stake until 2012.

Despite the upgrade, Lagardere's shares fell 3.3% yesterday.
