Kenya Airways to participate in EU Environment Trading Scheme; Air Arabia falls

Kenya Airways (-0.9%) fell the least of all carriers in the region on Friday.

The carrier announced during trading it has been approved to participate in the European Union's Environmental Management Program, through the EU Environment Trading Scheme (EU-ETS). The carrier stated during trading it is now able to monitor and control its carbon dioxide emissions. Kenya's All-Share Index was up 0.1% at the end of trading.

Also in Africa, 1time Holdings (-1.4%) dropped. South Africa's FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index fell for a fourth consecutive day, ending trading down 1.6%

Meanwhile, Air Arabia (-2.2%) meanwhile suffered the biggest drop of the day.
