June passenger slow-down a blip?

Premium Analysis

The big gap between international passenger and cargo growth

that opened up over the past 12 months is beginning to close. Global freight

markets are continuing to recover, but passenger demand has slowed to its lowest

level in nine months, to a still healthy 5.3%, according to IATA. Average passenger

load factors were 75.7% during the first half of the year, up 0.6% over the

same period in 2006.
