JetBlue follows industry in falling profits

JetBlue results won't turn around analysts' suspicion that the sector which clearly reflects airlines have reached the ceiling in fare increases with slowing demand. Indeed, there were a scattering of fare sales last week and fare guru Ed Perkins said airlines are even discounting premium fares on long-haul, international routes where airlines have put many of their eggs. Rising fuel and unclear forward bookings put most analysts in a bad mood for airline stocks.
