Jazeera Airways to commence services

• Fleet: Purchasing four A320s, with the first scheduled for delivery by 25-Oct-05, a second on 04-Nov-05 and two more in Jun-06. Options for four more aircraft for delivery by 2007;
• Network: Initially 30 weekly services to Dubai, Damascus, Amman, Beirut and Bahrain. Plans to operate more than 75 weekly services with the addition of destinations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India;
• Demand: Expects to carry 500,000 passengers annually by early 2007;
• Fares: On average 50% less than on major carriers;
• Distribution: Online, by phone, SMS or travel agents;
• Investors: Capital of KWD10 million, 70% was publicly subscribed and the rest provided by Kuwait-based Boodai Group, as well as other private investors;
• IPO: Plans to list on the Kuwait Stock Exchange in 2006.
