Jazeera Airways launches tie-up with Budget; African shares rise

Analysis

Jazeera Airways (-1.7%) shares fell on the same day the carrier launched of a promotional tie-up with car hire company Budget Rent-a-Car and hotel supplier Octopus Travel over summer.

Elsewhere, Kuwait National Airways (+1%), Air Arabia (+2.9%) and Royal Jordanian (+3.1%) shares rose. In Africa, Kenya Airways (-1.6%) also dropped while Comair (+0.5%), 1time (+1%) and Lonrho (+2.1%) all rose. The Johannesburg Stock Exchange also increased by +0.96%.
