JAL reports operating profit in nine months to Dec-2010, may relist by end of 2012

JAL Chairman Kazuo Inamori stated the carrier reported an operating profit of JPY158.6 billion (USD1.9 billion) in the nine months ended 31-Dec-2010, as its restructuring programme continues, according to a Kyodo report.

Mr Inamori said the carrier is hopeful of relisting at the end of 2012.

It was a tough day for airline stocks in Asia yesterday, with Indian and Chinese carriers losing considerable ground, led lower by Kingfisher (-8.0%).
