Ireland’s Minister of Transport, Leo Varadkar, to open CAPA Airlines in Transition Summit

Analysis

CAPA, and summit host, Dublin Airport Authority (DAA), are pleased to announce this year's Airlines in Transition Summit on 10-11 April in County Wicklow, south of Dublin, will be opened by Ireland's Minister of Transport, Leo Varadkar.

"Ireland has a pivotal role in the history of international aviation and continues to punch above its weight in the sector," said DAA Chief Executive Kevin Toland. "In that context, we are delighted to again welcome airline executives from across the globe to Dublin and Wicklow for the 2014 Airlines in Transition Summit".

Now in its third year, Airlines in Transition has developed as the leading forum for high level discussion of the key transformational issues confronting the worldwide commercial aviation industry. Attracting CEOs from a wide variety of airlines of all business models, the summit, over two days, will explore new ways of looking at national ownership controls and the right of establishment, as well as the global alliances, new JV models, so-called 'egocentric partnerships' and virtual airlines - as carriers search for durable models for the future.
