Gulf Air to break-even by 2010? “Definitely”

Premium Analysis

Gulf Air's turnaround efforts appear to be paying off. The carrier has confidently forecast that it will "definitely break even by 2010", despite suggestions earlier in the year that its break even could be delayed until at least 2013. The forecast comes despite an admission by the carrier that the "industry is challenged" at the moment, and that most airlines in the Middle East "will take a beating" in the current environment.
