Fraport, Hochtief, AdP, Vienna and Ferrovial shares jump as European stocks advance

Analysis

European shares closed in positive territory on 26-Jan-09 following a positive performance on Wall Street and reassuring news from Europe's banking sector. London's FTSE 100 index rose 156.54 points (+3.86%) to 4,209.01, Germany's DAX 30 gained 147.93 (+3.54%) to 4,326.87, while France's CAC index rose 106.23 (+3.73%) to 2,955.37.

European airport shares were caught in the updraft, including Hochtief (+4.8%), Fraport (+4.3%), Ferrovial (+3.7%), Vienna (+3.5%), AdP (+3.3%) and Zurich (+0.8%). Copenhagen Airports drifted lower (-4.4%).
