First of Ferrovial's UK airports moves on to new owners

Ferrovial Aeropuertos SA, a subsidiary of Ferrovial Infraestructuras SA, which is in turn a subsidiary of Grupo Ferrovial SA, has confirmed an agreement with ABN Amro Global Infrastructure Fund for the 100% sale of Belfast City Airport Ltd for GBP132.5 million (USD235 million), with the participation of Faros Infrastructure Partners. Ferrovial expects capital gains from the sale of Belfast City Airport (BCA) to be GBP85.6 million. The agreement is expected to be finalised by the end of Sep-08. It is the first in what could be a number of transactions involving Grupo Ferrovial airports in the next 12 months.
