Expedia shares gained 2.1% on Friday, as the company garners more support from other airfare resellers in its battle with American Airlines.
Expedia shares gained 2.1% on Friday, as the company garners more support from other airfare resellers in its battle with American Airlines. GDS operator Amadeus announced late last week that is was "actively reviewing" its contracts with airlines in the US, although failed to mention the ongoing dispute between American and online ticket distributors, which has seen it pull its fares and scheduled from Orbitz and had its content dropped by Sabre and Expedia. Elsewhere, French aircraft interiors manufacturer Zodiac Aerospace slipped 1.9%. After rebuffing merger offers by Safran in 2010, the company has reaffirmed its targets for FY2011 (year ending 31-Aug-2011). The company believes that a recovery in the aerospace industry cycle and recent acquisitions will produce strong growth results.
