Fraport has ramped up its push to develop much-need capacity at Frankfurt Airport, stating this week that passenger numbers could increase 60% to 88 million by 2020, with the addition of a new fourth runway. Fraport plans to invest more than EUR4 billion in expanding Frankfurt Airport, which involves construction of the new runway, terminal and other infrastructure. In the 11 months to 30-Nov-07, Frankfurt handled 50.2 million passengers.
