European ATM growth grinds to a halt in 2008

Eurocontrol, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, has painted a bleak picture of the strength of European aircraft movements for 2009. According to the pan-European body, total aircraft movements in Europe in 2008 increased just 0.1%, the lowest level of growth recorded over the past five years. Average daily aircraft movements were up just 200, from 27,470 to 27,676.
