Delta moves up on rumours of B787 fleet order downsizing; North American airline share prices

Analysis

Suggestions that Delta might seek to replace Northwest's B787 orders with B777-200LRs, more suitable for long haul international gave Delta some updraft in the short trade on Friday, after Thanksgiving.

The Thanksgiving spirit also infused AirTran, whose efficient LCC model is starting to see real benefits from the softening of oil prices. Only Allegiant suffered a small decline in these warm holiday conditions.
