Copenhagen pulls out of Hainan

Copenhagen Airports has sold its entire 20% shareholding in

Hainan Meilan International Airport Company, operator of Haikou Meilan Airport,

to Oriental Patron Resources Investment Ltd for approximately USD70 million

on 05-Jun-07. The company stated that the move is part of its strategy to “focus

its activities on the development and operation of Copenhagen International

Airport”, as proceeds will primarily be used to repay debt and fund future

capital expenditure.
