Iceland's financial services sector collapse is having ramifications well beyond the country's shores. The parent of Danish LCC, Sterling Airlines, has succumbed to the financial pressures and withdrew its support for the airline. Subsequent meetings with other potential investors failed and Sterling filed for bankruptcy on 29-Oct-08, suspending all services.
