Chinese airport sell off - share wrap

Analysis

China's 'big three' airports, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai, suffered 4-6% falls on the stock market yesterday, amid weaker sentiment in the broader market.

Shares may have also been influenced by the CAAC's moves to limit the spread of so-called branch airlines and new airline subsidiaries in the domestic market, to reduce cut-throat competition.

Elsewhere, Airports of Thailand had a better day, rising 3%.

Selected airports daily share price movements (% change): 24-Feb-09
