China Southern Airlines opens new Beijing base - report

Beijing (XFNews-ASIA) - China Southern Airlines' (CSA) Beijing base opened for business yesterday as part of the company's strategy to expand its foothold in the north from its Guangzhou headquarters in southern China, state media reported.

The company plans to build up a fleet of Airbus A319, A320, A330 and A380 aircraft to increase flights from Beijing to southwest and eastern China, and to launch routes from Beijing to Europe and the United States, the official Xinhua news agency said.
