China Southern Airlines August passenger traffic up 64.7% year-on-year

BEIJING (XFNews) - China Southern Airlines Co Ltd (SHA 600029; HK 1055), the country's largest air carrier, said it carried a total of 4.4 mln passengers in August, up 64.7 pct from a year earlier.
In a statement on its website, the Guangzhou-based airline said passenger traffic for the first eight months was up 54.9% at 28.98 million.
But passenger load factor in August fell 1.6 percentage points from a year earlier to 74.8%. It edged up 0.9 percentage point to 70% in the eight months to August.
