China Eastern soars, Qantas higher, Singapore Airlines and Japan Airlines lose ground – Share Wrap

Asian airline shares closed the week generally higher on Friday, with Chinese transportation stocks among the big gainers. China Eastern soared 13.7%, while China Southern rose 9.2%, despite the rise in the oil price above USD66 per barrel. Air China rose 1.1%, while cross-equity partner, Cathay Pacific, was 0.6% higher.
