British Airways continues to rise, Finnair gains, Turkish soars

British Airways' shares rose strongly last week, following the release of its Nov-2009 traffic report, adding a further 2.8% on Friday.

Finnair's shares gained 1.1% as a five-day strike by ground handling staff came to an end.

Austrian Airlines' shares gained 14.8% amid the continued squeeze out of small shareholders by Lufthansa, despite a significant increase in competition from Vienna flagged by NIKI from early 2010.

Turkish Airlines soared 6.5% on Friday. It announced new Star Alliance partner, Continental Airlines has become the 24th member of its Miles&Smiles frequent flyer programme.
