Bratislava, Kosice and Prague airport privitisation - UPDATE
SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Slovak Government announced the deadline for the submission of final bids for the purchase of a 66% shareholding in Bratislava and Kosice airports would be 21-Nov-05.
The Government stated bids would be assessed 'from the viewpoint of the financial offer'. The Slovak Government plans to retain 34% after the privatisation, of which 10% would be transferred to the regional governments and a further 10% to the local governments of Bratislava and Kosice. Meanwhile, Macquarie Bank has reportedly held discussions with the Czech Government, expressing its interest in participating in the upcoming privatisation of Prague Ruzyne Airport. No further details were disclosed. Macquarie Airports is bidding for Budapest Airport.
