Boeing raises full year outlook

Boeing's shares gained 3.4% in trading yesterday, as the company reported better than expected results, earning USD837 million for 3Q2010 on revenue of USD16.8 billion.

The company raised its full-year guidance from USD3.50-3.80 per share to USD3.80-4 per share. The company has maintained its forecast of mid-1Q2011 delivery for the B787 and mid-2011 delivery for the B747-8F, although 2011 cash flow is expected to suffer from programme delays.

Embraer's shares gained 2.7%. The company announced a deal with NetJets for 50 Phenom 300 executive aircraft, plus 75 options, in a deal potentially worth more than USD1 billion. Embraer also announced a contract with Parker Aerospace to use BAE Systems avionics on its Legacy 450 and 500 aircraft. BAE Systems will design, produce and support the flight control computers for the aircraft.

BAE Systems shares were down 3.8% yesterday.
