Belgocontrol: traffic decline appears to be weakening; regional airport traffic remains strong

Belgocontrol appears to be closing the year-on-year gap in aircraft movements, reporting a 0.2% decline in total aircraft movements in Aug-2009, to 99,431 movements, an improvement over prior months. Earlier in the year, the ANSP was reporting double digit declines, which have gradually been decreasing. For example, aircraft movements fell 4.7% in Jun-2009 and 2.7% in Jul-2009.
