Bahrain International Airport to undergo a three phased passenger terminal expansion

SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - Ministry of Civil Aviation Affairs announced an BHD80 million, three phased passenger terminal expansion project at Bahrain International Airport (BAH) is scheduled to commence late next year and be completed in 22 months.

The project would double the capacity at BAH to 18 million passengers initially and eventually to 45 million passengers annually. Meanwhile, a group of private investors would also reportedly invest BHD20 million to develop a multi-storey car park and a business/entertainment centre opposite the airport building.
