Nonstop service the Emirate from Frankfurt again as of 2nd May.

Bahrain, an archipelago of 33 islands on the East coast of Saudi Arabia, rich as a result of its mineral resources, well-known thanks to its Formula 1 Grand Prix. As of 2nd May, Lufthansa will once again be offering flights to the capital of the Emirate, Manama. With the resumption of flights to Bahrain, which was already served during the nineties, Deutsche Lufthansa is continuing its strategy of providing links to the world's oil destinations. With the exception of Syria and Iraq, the company now offers flights to every country in the region.

Three times a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday - an Airbus A330-300 will depart from Frankfurt at around 13.10 hrs., arriving in Manama at about 20.00 hrs. local time. After a stopover, the flight will continue to the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi. The return flight will again operate via Bahrain, where the flight will take off bound for Germany at around 1.20 hrs. The aircraft is scheduled to arrive back in Frankfurt at approx. 6.20 hrs. The flight to Bahrain and Abu Dhabi can be booked in the First, Business or Economy Class. Internet-on-board will be available in all classes. Lufthansa was the first airline, who offers this service to his passengers worldwide.

To mark the start of the new route there will be introductory specials in both the Economy and Business classes: anyone who books before 14th May and flies before 30th July 2006, will pay 524 Euro in the Economy Class and 2105 Euro in the Business Class. Due to the differing fees at the respective airports of departure, the ticket prices may vary by a coupe of Euro. The Lufthansa offers apply to the outward and return flight. They can be booked immediately. The prices quoted apply to the booking of an electronic ticket via www.lufthansa.com. They are subject to the Lufthansa ticket reservation fee of 15 Euro - when booking via other sales channels the ticket service fee varies.
