ASUR loses ground on weak traffic - Airports Share Wrap

Analysis

Mexican airports operator, Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), saw its shares down 1.9% on Thursday, as it reported a 7.1% year-on-year decline in traffic in Nov-2009.

After the H1N1 outbreak earlier in the year, domestic traffic is close to recovering, down just 3.1% during the month. However, international traffic is still contracting at double-digit levels, with passenger numbers falling 10.2% during Dec-2009.

Shares in other Mexican airport operators were much stronger with OMA and GAP trading up 3.0% and 3.1% respectively. Neither operator has reported its Nov-2009 traffic yet.

Selected airports daily share price movements (% change): 03-Dec-09
