Amadeus shareholders sell 10% stake for EUR613m

Two major shareholders in Amadeus - Cinven and BC Partners - sold a total of 44.76 million shares at EUR13.70 on Friday, according to Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley which managed the sale. The sale raised EUR613 million and represent 10% of the Spain-based travel distribution company. Shares in Amadeus were up 0.6% on Monday.

Major movers in aviation suppliers were Expedia, which fell 3.1% and World Fuel Services Corp, down 2.3%. Brendan Airways, the parent of airline USA 3000, added racketeering case against World Fuel Services, in a separate action to the ongoing civil litigation launched in 2007. World Fuel stated the claims are without merit and intends to vigorously defend itself against them.
