Airtime Airlines plans Jan-09 launch

A new South African LCC, Airtime Airlines, announced plans to launch services in Jan-09. The carrier, based in Durban, plans to operate three times daily service to Johannesburg, Pt Elizabeth and Cape Town, with the progressive launch of service between Jan-09 and Mar-09. The carrier will operate three 118-seat B737-200s leased from AirQurius. The new LCC will fill a gap created with the departure and liquidation of Nationwide Airlines in Apr-08.
