Airports of Thailand suffers from Suvarnabhumi chaos

Airports of Thailand (AoT), operator of six Thai airports,

including Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport, reported an 88% slump

in net profit for its fiscal second quarter ended 31-Mar-07, despite a 14.4%

rise in operating revenues. Revenue was driven by a 35.2% jump in aeronautical

revenue, as a consequence of a 7.7% rise in passenger numbers and an increase

in Passenger Service Charges on 01-Feb-07.
