Airport shares close lower

11th March, 2011

Shares in most airport operators closed lower in Thursday, with Vienna Airport and Shanghai International Airport Co both dropping 2.5% and Ferroviual and MAp Aiports 2% lower. Gemina shares fell 1.6%, after jumping 5% on Wednesday. Gemina has interests in Italy’s Aeroporti di Roma Group.

Against the trend was Turkish airports operator TAV Holdings. Last week, the company reported a net profit of USD62 million, down 2% year-on-year. The company has lifted its outlook for 2011 predicting double-digit growth at its airports this year and confirmed that it is considering more acquisitions.
