Airbus cancellations spiral in October – 71 narrowbody orders dropped

Airbus reported an unprecedented 71 aircraft order cancellations in Oct-08, taking total for the year-to-date to 119. Net orders for the year have slumped from 737 (as at 30-Sep-08) to 675 as at the end of last month, following the cancellation of 65 A319s and six A318s during Oct-08. The customer has not been revealed.
