Air Mauritius shares slump; Comair and Lonrho also down; 1time gains

Analysis

Middle East and African airline shares were mixed for Thursday (09-Sep-2010). Air Mauritius (-4.3%) was the biggest fall for the day, despite Mauritius's SEMDEX Index ending a two-day decline to end trading up 0.2%.

Also in Africa, Comair (-2.8%) and Lonrho (-2.3%) were down for the day. Kenya Airways was flat for the session, as Kenya's All-Share Index rose for a second day, advancing 0.4%

1time Holidngs (+1.0%) was the only carrier to advance, as South Africa's JSE gained 0.3% on the back of positive economic data from the US.

Middle East markets were closed for Eid ul-Fitr, a Muslim holiday marking the end of Ramadan.
