Air Mauritius jumps to 18-month high

Shares in Air Mauritius leapt 13% in trading on Friday, hitting its highest point since Jun-2010. Earlier last week, the carrier reported a third fiscal quarter profit of EUR12.5 million, compared with EUR3.2 million in the previous corresponding period. Operating profit rose 66.7%.

Both passenger and cargo traffic achieved double-digit growth, while revenue soared 23%. The carrier's outlook for its fourth quarter is positive, with strong bookings reported.
