Air France-KLM shares damaged by A380 decision as market softens

Analysis

The market has not reacted kindly to Air France-KLM's announcement that the carrier was to delay delivery of its two ordered A380s, following on its earlier postponement of B777 deliveries.

But this economy-sensitive sector was generally down as European stock markets lost ground. Each of the majors was damaged by the unkind market sentiment, with pessimism again returning about the wider economic outlook.

Only Finnair made solid gains. Management has been in lengthy talks with its pilots and resolution may be at hand.
