Air China reports massive reductions in international demand in Jul-08

Air China reported further deep falls in passenger demand in Aug-08. Total passenger numbers fell 6.8% year-on-year to 3.0 million (an improvement from the 10.7% reduction in May-08), while cargo volume rose 7.8% to 81,626 tonnes. For the first seven months of the year, Air China's passenger numbers fell 1.8% to 19.6 million.
