Air China reports double-digit passenger growth in Feb

HONG KONG (AFX) - Air China Ltd (753.HK), the mainland's flag carrier, said it carried 2.15 mln passengers in February, up 12.1 pct year-on-year.
For the two months to February, the airline carried 4.37 mln passengers, up 14.8 pct from the same period in 2004, it said in a statement published on its website.
Cargo throughput for February rose 26.2 pct year-on-year to 53,600 tons, it said.
For the two-month period, it registered a total of 116,100 tons of cargo, up 18.2 pct year-on-year.
Passenger load factor for February was 72.2 pct, or 0.1 percentage point higher than a year earlier, while cargo load factor was 53.6 pct, up 6.7 percentage points, the airline said.
