Air China June passengers up 13.6 pct yr-on-yr; Jan-June traffic up 14.6 pct

For the first half to June, the Beijing-based airline saw passenger numbers increase 14.6 pct year-on-year to 16.69 mln. It carried 454,300 tons of cargo during the six months, up 18.4 pct from a year earlier.

Its passenger load factor in June stood at 77.5 pct, up 1.9 percentage point from a year earlier, while cargo load factor rose 2.7 pct points to 55.4.

For the first half, Air China's passenger load factor was at 75.8 pct, up 2.1 percentage points, while cargo load factor fell 1.5 percentage point to 52.5 pct.
