Aéroports de Paris reports 5.2% traffic increase; Malaysia Airports Holdings reports +1.2% pax

Aéroports de Paris (-2.1%) shares lost ground on Monday (18-Oct-2010) despite reporting a passenger traffic increase of 5.2% in Sep-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 7.5 million, +5.2%;
    • Domestic: +1.9%;
    • Intra-Europe: 5.2%;
  • Paris CDG: 5.3 million, +5.1%;
  • Paris Orly: 2.2 million, +5.3%;

Meanwhile, France's CAC 40 Index rose 0.2% to 3,834.5 at the 17:30 close on Monday in Paris, the highest since Apr-2010.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (0%) shares remained stable after it reported its passenger traffic rose by 1.2% for Aug-2010. Kuala Lumpur International Airport's traffic went up by 12.9% to 2.7 million while its domestic traffic fell to 750,451 or -12.8% and its international traffic went up 12.9% to 2.0 million.

GMR Infrastructure (-2.7%) shares declined the most after the Indian airport operator received permission from the Gujarat State Government to set up a 25MWe solar power plant in the state, according to the Press Trust of India.
