Aeroports de Montreal reports positive 1Q08 result driven by international traffic growth

Premium Analysis

Aéroports de Montréal (AdM) has reported a 30.9% increase in EBITDA for the three months ended 31-Mar-08. The main contributor to the increase in revenues was growth in aeronautical revenues together with airport improvement fees, due to increased fees and passenger traffic. Concession income also "played a part", although it is not established in the AdM report to what extent. The increase in operating costs is attributed mainly to higher wages with particularly inclement weather also playing a part.
