Airport shares mixed; MAp and Vienna Airport gain

Analysis

Airport shares were mixed on Friday, with European majors Fraport and AdP lower with wider stock markets.

MAp Airports' shares had a strong week, closing up a further 2.6% on Friday to be at 52-week highs. The company's CEO, Kerrie Mather, has been appointed CEO and Managing Director of its flagship Sydney Airport. See related report: Q&A with MAp CEO and incoming Sydney Airport head, Kerrie Mather

Vienna International Airport's search for two new board executives is reaching its final stage. However Steinacker, considered a front-runner for one of the two positions, according to Die Presse, has decided to remain managing director of Raiffeisen-Holding NÖ-Wien. Julian Jaeger, head of Malta Airport, and Michael Hoferer, are also candidates. The board's search is being assisted by the recruitment consultants Egon Zehnder. Vienna Airports' shares gained 2.8% on Friday.
