Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport (formerly Mérida-Rejón Airport) serves the Mexican city of Merida, capital of Yucatán State and largest city on the Yucatán peninsula. The city has the largest indigenous population among major cities in the country, with 60% of inhabitants being of Mayan ancestry. The airport is served by a large number of domestic carriers, though to limited destinations, with links to Mexico City being the most prominent. The airport is operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) and is the busiest in ASUR's network in terms of cargo and second busiest in terms of passenger numbers.
