About

Foshan Shadi Airport serves the city of Foshan, in central Guangdong province. Foshan is predominantly used for military traffic, and has been intermittently closed to commercial aviation. The airport was reopened to commercial traffic in 2009 following a seven year hiatus, with China United Airlines offering service to Beijing. Foshan has also been mooted as a potential site for a second Guangzhou airport.
