Zodiac Aerospace open to cooperation with Safran

Zodiac Aerospace CEO Oliver Guy Zarrouati stated the aircraft seat manufacturer is open to cooperation with Safran SA after Safran dropped plans to for a hostile bid for the carrier (Bloomberg, 24-Nov-2010). Zodiac is interested in working with Safran on electric power technology for improved IFE systems and faster broadband access. Safran on 18-Nov-2010 stated it dropped plans for its offer as conditions were not right for a "friendly combination".

Zodiac Aerospace: "Our job is to create value. If our environment says we could create more value together than alone, the first thing we do is listen. Now relations have been simplified by Safran's declaration we can listen, explore and analyse if there's something to be done which has interest," Oliver Guy Zarrouati, CEO.
