Visitor arrivals to China up 4% in Dec-2010

China's National Tourism Administration reported (19-Jan-2011) total visitor arrivals to China increased 4.1% year-on-year to 11.5 million in Dec-2010. Details include:

  • Dec-2010:
    • Visitor arrivals: 11.5 million, +4.1% year-on-year;
  • 12 months ended 31-Dec-2010:
    • Visitor arrivals: 133.8 million, +5.8%;
      • Hong Kong: 79.3 million, +2.6%;
      • Macau: 23.2 million, +2.0%;
      • Taiwan: 5.1 million, +14.6%;
      • International: 26.1 million, +19.1%;
        • South Korea: 4.1 million, +27.5%;
        • Japan: 3.7 million, +12.5%;
        • Russia: 2.4 million, +36.0%;
        • America: 2.0 million, +17.5%;
        • Malaysia: 1.2 million, +17.6%.
