Virgin-branded airlines will 'not necessarily' join same alliance: Branson
Virgin Group chairman Sir Richard Branson said that while there is “a logic” to all Virgin-branded carriers joining the same global alliance, that will “not necessarily” happen (Bloomberg, 04-May-2011). The chairman stated that options very much depend on the partners being looked at. “From Virgin Australia’s perspective it has been very effective to go airline-by-airline with alliances. That may not necessarily be the best for Virgin Atlantic, but all options are there,” Sir Richard said.
