Virgin Australia and Virgin Atlantic apply to ACCC for cooperation between Australia and UK/Ireland

Australian Competitor and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted (08-Nov-2019) Virgin Australia and Virgin Atlantic permission for authorisation to allow cooperation on services between Australia and the UK and Ireland via mutual mid points in Hong Kong and Los Angeles, as well as any future mutual connection points. Key details include:

  • Joint pricing, inventory management, scheduling coordination, network planning and marketing on services on the UK/Ireland Route;
  • Cooperation in product alignment, airport operations, joint procurement and tenders for corporate contracts.
