US BTS reports 2.1% rise in 2010 system passenger numbers on US and foreign airlines

US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reports (22-Mar-2011) the following scheduled domestic and international airline traffic results on US and foreign airlines* in 2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 786.7 million, +2.1% year-on-year;
  • RPMs: +3.6%;
  • ASMs: +0.9%;
  • Passenger load factor: 81.9%, +2.2 ppts. [more]

*Includes US carrier scheduled domestic and international service and foreign carrier scheduled international service to and from the US.
